Prof. Yoshiyuki Kawazoe

Biography :

Prof. Yoshiyuki Kawazoe studied theoretical nuclear physics at Tohoku University. He has been with Tohoku University for 60 years as student and Professor until today. He worked with, starting in General Education Department, Computer Literacy Department, Institute for Materials Science, and now in New Industry Creation Hatchery Center. He based on his nuclear physics way has introduced “Theory First” concept in computational materials science. He is the founder of the Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science (ACCSM). He has published and edited more than 200 books and published more than 1,300 ISI papers to reach h-index of 107
